Jeff Burress

Jeff is a classically trained brand marketer with extensive sales and client service expertise and a depth of experience that ranges from one of the world’s largest companies to the entrepreneur environment of a start–up venture.  In his 20 years of marketing and sales experience he has a proven track record of developing new business, exceeding sales and profit goals and building brand equity. His vast experience includes new product development, brand strategy, consumer/trade promotion, public relations, consumer relationship marketing (CRM), electronic marketing, account specific marketing, and sales. 

 
 

Before joining CKS, Jeff helped drive sales for Convergence Marketing from 0 to $15 million per year. Prior to joining Convergence, Jeff held executive positions at Unilever, Tom's of Maine, and Supermarkets online.

 
 

Jeff is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a BA in Political Science.  He also is a regular panelist, speaker, and columnist with a focus on innovative sales and marketing strategies.

 
 
Steve Stone

Steve Stone joined CKS as a Board member in 2004. A 28-year software and computer industry veteran, Steve has held executive management positions with Microsoft Corporation, Spyglass, Intergraph Corporation and NCR. At Microsoft he led the development of DRM, ClearType and Reading technologies for Microsoft Office®. At Spyglass he led the development of the Spyglass Mosaic browser which became the basis of Microsoft's Internet Explorer.

 

 

 

Steve is the CEO of InfoFlows Corporation. InfoFlows works with many of the world's leading companies to help them become more competitive through building effective enterprise and consumer strategies in the area of finding, delivering, monetizing and protecting information. InfoFlows includes strategy and development team capabilities that deliver software solutions based on super-distribution, digital rights management and digital object identification technologies.

 

 

Steve holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of South Carolina as well as an MBA also from the University of South Carolina. He also currently serves on the board of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic, Inc.

 

Ricardo Torres

Ricardo Torres joined the CohesiveKnowlege Board of Directors in 2004. Torres also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of BestPractices, a company formed in 1990 to offer the finest possible services in emergency physician leadership, management, and clinical care. Torres is responsible for managing the infrastructure necessary to allow BestPractices to deliver the highest quality sustainable clinical care. His diverse functional background with progressive companies allows BestPractices to adopt leading-edge business techniques from outside the Health Services industry.

 
 

Torres has 20 years of multi-disciplined business experience with Fortune 50 and start-up companies including four years with CapitalOne as Chief Operating Officer of its telecommunications subsidiary. Prior to CapitalOne, Torres held various management positions in marketing and sales for Philip Morris and spent seven years in management positions at PepsiCo.

 
 

Torres holds an MBA from Georgetown University and undergraduate degrees in both Marketing and Management from Manhattan College in New York City. He is currently treasurer of the John Tyler Community College Foundation Board in Richmond, Virginia.
